| Notes | In cardboard box. This photo book contains 267 photos of album covers, strip books illustrations and drawings made by R. Crumb R. Crumb: The Complete Record Cover Collection not only brings together the record covers designed by Robert Crumb, but also includes works related to these covers. On top of that we added some lesser-known illustrations which are in some way related to the music. The majority of the covers were lent to us by Richard Kuiters and Cecile van Lijnden, Crumb collectors for almost as long as there were Crumbs to collect. Pierre-Henry Lenfant has shared with us the results of his research and also came up with a number of very rare works of which existence we had no idea. Andreas Schmauder, Robert Armstrong, Dominic Cravic, Hansje Joustra and Joost Swarte provided us with a number of very special documents. When we thought we finally had complete the collection, Robert Crumb shattered his illusion by conjuring up some more editions. When we started this collection we pretended full coverage, but the experience learned that this is a hard to reach goal. Now we are happy that somewhere in a dusty drawer virtually unknown Robert Crumb covers and related works are still waiting to be exposed. The publisher 1.
