| Notes | This was an update of Joel Whitburn's popular Top Country Singles book series, with four years of research since the previous edition. Contained chart data of songs and artists from Billboard's Country singles charts from January 1, 1944 to December 29, 2001. Not many new features, but one that has remained is the Vinyl symbol, which was useful for singles released from 1990 on. The short-lived 'Top 400 Artist Debuts' is also featured. Joel dedicated this book to Timothy White, the editor in chief who recently passed at the time of the book's pressing. |
