Uniquely during the Puffin era this printing is a reversion to the previous format of having no number on the front or spine. This is believed to have been due to an error by the publisher in using the wrong edition as a template for revising to the intended 'black dragon' edition, where the foil leaf on the cover is replaced by black print. Since there were no further reprints of this title, there was no opportunity to correct this error and ever produce the intended 'black dragon' edition, and so none exists. This printing effectively is what should have been the 'black dragon' edition. |
