| Notes | 1st Story: Power Girl: "Ancient Histories"
2nd Story: Hawkman: "The Secret Origin of the Golden Age Hawkman"
Notes:
The Hawkman's story is a retcon of his origin in Flash Comics #1. In the Golden Age version, the Hawk god was worshipped by Hath-Set, and was named Anubis; Originally Hawkman donned his hawk-shaped headpiece to appear as this Hawk-God, in order to scare Hath-Set. It is likely that the penciler of the original story has been mistaken or has read erroneous sources. In fact, in Egyptian mythology, the hawk-god is Horus, and Anubis, a jackal-god (which was repaired in the story of this issue).
"The Secret Origin of the Golden Age Hawkman" was reprinted in Last Days of the Justice Society of America.
The first appearance of Kara Zor-L's post-Crisis origin, which would later be revealed as a lie. |
