NotesVariant Cover 9B. Superman of Earth-Two died in Infinite Crisis #7. The arrival of Superman (Earth-22) was foreshadowed in the epilogue from Justice Society of America #1. This version of Superman is the same character that was featured in the Elseworlds limited series Kingdom Come. Goth is a supernatural villain who once fought up against the Titans. He first appeared in Titans #3. One of the children in this issue makes reference to an incident wherein Damage destroyed a section of Atlanta, Georgia. This took place in Damage #1. Trivia: Editor Michael Siglain makes a cameo appearance as a fire fighter in this issue. Doctor Mid-Nite and Mister Terrific are the only JSA members not featured in this issue. As the JSA enters the five-alarm blaze, Starman is seen carrying a small pail of water with him.
