This issue occurs between JSA #15 and JSA #16.
Each DC Comics Annual for the year 2000 introduces a new international super-hero as part of their "Planet DC" theme. This issue introduces the character of Soseh Mykros, also known as Nemesis.
Nemesis' washing ashore on Themyscira is no mere chance, but rather, the work of Thetis and the Nereids, who make sure that any female lost in the Mediterranean, Ionian and Aegean Sea is carried to the shores of Paradise Island.
