| Notes | Reprinted Issue: The Avengers Vol 1 #38, March, 1967 Hercules' was brought into this series because Roy Thomas had asked to bring Thor back to the Avengers (again). Stan Lee said no (again) but suggested Hercules as an alternative. Hercules was last seen in Thor #132 where he was dropped off at Olympus by Thor following their battle with Pluto in Hades. This issue of the Avengers picks up Hercules' story from there. The Enchantress' image has been redrawn for this cover, but this editor is unsure as to who is the artist. As depicted in the current cover image, 30 cent Price variants exist for this issue. |
