Le Photographe

Le Photographe is a comics series by Emmanuel Guibert, Didier Lefèvre and Frédéric Lemercier. It's composed of a single comics story published in three albums from 2003 through 2006. Le Photographe tells the true story of Didier Lefèvre, a French photojournalist, who accompanied a Médecins Sans Frontières mission during the height of the Soviet–Afghan War in 1986. The comics interweaves Lefèvre's black-and-white photographs and Guibert's illustrations—combined with captions and word balloons—to create the narrative.
