Notes	In 2003, the legendary record store BARATOS AFINS, managed by it´s owner LUIZ CALANCA, a public figure known in Brazil when records is the subject. He celebrated 25 years of existance of his store with 4 nights of an enormous cast made by a mix of brazilian succesfull musicians and new talents, from which many are related directly to the store but also to the store´s label, which brings a great platform of rock and psychedelic music from many regions of Brazil. The designer of the poster is ALEXANDRE BRAGA, who works mostly with illustration and advertising, was able to tribute one of the greatest psychedelic pioneer artist, the american WES WILSON, by the use of Fillmore type melted with Art Nouveau elements and a psychedelic effesvescenting girl in the middle. Among the musicians, representatives from many eras in Brazil, having one thing in common, going to BARATOS AFINS store in Sao Paulo´s old downtown in a magical place called ROCK GALLERY, a place where many young “tribes” share different cultural movements in a building that transpires culture in archtecture itself, a touristic site at least and a blast for music collecting tradition. You may spent hours by checking the records and talking to LUIZ CALANCA while a few unexpected musicians will go around with their bags full of music. His label is responsible for continuing the legacy of important artists by making reprints of OS MUTANTES, RITA LEE, ARNALDO BAPTISTA, ITAMAR ASSUMPÇÃO, TOM ZÉ, WALTER FRANCO, JORGE MAUTNER, SERGUEI and launched new bands and compilations that reveal a true treasure for brazilians rock culture. Recently BARATOS AFINS and LUIZ CALANCA appeared in tv show documentary series named MY RECORD STORE (MINHA LOJA DE DISCOS) where you can easily find on youtube.
