| Notes | BG287 was the final poster in the original numbered series, the final David Singer-designed Fillmore poster and the final concert at the Fillmore West. It was also the first time 17 bands had been listed on a poster and the first time a poster was commissioned by someone other than Bill Graham himself. BG287 was commissioned as a gift to Graham and was to be presented to him after the event. BG287 has become famous for its style and as a marker in the history of San Francisco rock music. Print Variations The 1st printing poster is on slick glossy stock. It measures 21 7/8" x 27 13/16" and was printed after the concert. The 2nd printing is on thin uncoated index that was folded to fit inside the Closing of the Fillmore record album. It measures 21 7/8" x 27 13/16", and was printed after the concert. The 3rd printing is on glossy cover stock and bears a Wolfgang's Vault notation in the lower right hand margin. It was printed in 2013 by the Bill Graham Archives LLC in a 500 copy run and measures 23 3/4" x 30 3/8". |
