Jacqui McShee, John Renbourn, Bert Jansch, Danny Thompson and Terry Cox all had previous successful careers before the group made the very successful albums including Sweet Child in 1968 and Basket of Light in 1969. They played the Isle of Wight Festival and Carnegie hall, and received the BBC Folk Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. East of Eden were a progressive jazz/rock band with a long career. They were know for hits, “Snafu” and “Jig-a-Jag”. Their violinist, Dave Arbus, played on the Who’s “Baba O’Riley”. |
