| Notes | 9 colour screenprint ---- More than 20 years ago a room full of posters, magazine clippings, my first guitar and the timeless hours spent rocking it after school… they all shared something in common - Metallica and the guiding light this band was back then and still is for me today. While drawing it took me on a rollercoaster full of great memories from many years ago where the roots of this story can be traced back to. The main subject and theme in my work is the Polish winged hussar - mid 17-th century they were considered as the most well developed cavalry unit. Under the “Orion” constellation, the hussar’s flag represents the celebration of the band’s self-tilted masterpiece and its 28-th birthday this month. |
