Notes	Preceded by CDP-C85ES Succeeded by CDP-C89ES Top of the line 5 disc changer. One model down the CDP-C77ES was nearly identical but did not include a solid aluminum top plate, the diecast metal platter (rather than the flimsier plastic ones used in their lower models), Serial Chain Control for linking two units together. CDP-87ES included remote commander RM-D870 (to allow for chain control functions) CDP-77ES included remote commander RM-D715 The CDP-715 was the model in the mass market Hi-Fi series the has the same features as the CDP-77ES but with lower cost components. All three units share the same service manual.
