| Notes | This preamp has about all you could ask for: smoothness, depth, coherence, dynamics, stereo image, smoothness, smoothness, smoothness… The Counterpoint SA-1000 is warm, rich, and wonderful, reproducing a wonderful sense of space, even better than that of the reference. It is one of those pieces which encourage you to relisten to your entire record collection. It offers superb detail, a deep soundstage, and precise imaging. It is analytical, yet sensitive to the emotional content of the music – a combination found only in the best. |
