The Tele München Gruppe (TMG) is a media company based in Munich.
The activities of the Tele München Group include license trading, the holding of television and radio stations, cinema, video, TV distribution, and television and film production. It also has one of the largest film libraries in Europe.
Tele München GmbH was founded on April 27, 1970 by the author and producer Walter Ulbrich and bought in 1977 by Herbert Kloiber and his business partner Fritz Buttenstedt.
In February 2019, the TMG was taken over by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.
