TV60Filmproduktion GmbH was founded by Utz Utermann and Claus Hardt the first production company with the name TV-60. Utz Utermann left the company in the 1970s, and in 1978 Claus Hardt and Bernd Burgemeister established TV60Filmproduktion GmbH. In 1991 Claus Hardt left and Bernd Burgemeister became the sole owner of the company.
The main business partners and clients were initially ZDF and the ARD stations, later also RTL, SAT.1, ProSieben and various foreign private stations. In 2002 TV60Filmproduktion became the majority shareholder of Goldkind Filmproduktion. After the death of Bernd Burgemeister in summer 2008, Sven Burgemeister took over the sole management of the company.
