The Rokes, originally known as Shel Carson Combo, were an English beat music group, which achieved success in Italy, selling more than 5 million records, 17 singles 45 rpm, 5 albums 33 rpm, competing with the Equipe 84 the title of main band of the Italian beat. The members were: Norman David Shapiro (called "Shel"): voice, guitars Robert Posner (called "Bobby"): voice, bass Johnny Charlton: guitar soloist Mike Shepstone: voice, drums
