Luciano Emmer was an Italian director, screenwriter and teacher. He has made numerous films and some of the most important art documentaries.
He was the father of mathematician, academician and writer Michele Emmer and director David Emmer.
Emmer also worked as an advertising director: the same theme of the first Carosello, the one with the various curtains that opened one after the other, had been shot by Luciano Emmer. A whole generation of artists passed in front of his camera to interpret the spots aired by the famous pre-evening broadcast: Totò, Walter Chiari, Mina, Carlo Dapporto, Paolo Panelli, Aldo Fabrizi, Daio Fo, Sandra Milo, Alighiero Noschese, Pippo Baudo, Alberto Rabagliati, Quartetto Cetra, Marisa Del Frate, Edoardo Vianello, Umberto Bindi.
