Совкино

All-Russian Photo-Mining Joint-Stock Company "Soviet Cinema" ("Sovkino") Russian: Всероссийское фотокинопромышленное акционерное общество «Советское кино» («Совкино») Soviet photocinematographic state organization and film company. Sovkino was created according to the resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR of 13 June 1924. Since its inception, Sovkino has received the right to import, produce, and the monopoly right to rent movies throughout the USSR. Sovkino liquidated in February 1930.
