Beastie Boys

The Beastie Boys were an American hip hop group from New York City, formed in 1981 as a hardcoe punk band. For the majority of their career, the group consisted of Michael "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "MCA" Yauch and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz. In 2012, they became the third rap group to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In the same year, MCA died of cancer. Mike D and Ad-Rock confirmed in 2014 that they had disbanded the Beastie Boys.
