Edoardo Anton

Edoardo Anton, born Edoardo Antonelli, was an Italian screenwriter and film director. Son of the playwright Luigi Antonelli, he followed in his father's footsteps writing theatrical texts, scripts for operettas and music magazines. In 1936 he met Raffaello Matarazzo with whom he began his activity as a film screenwriter which continued until the 80s. Among his most convincing theatrical comedies, La fidanzata del bersagliere brought to the big screen by Alessandro Blasetti in 1967.
