Arturo Brachetti
Renzo Arturo Giovanni Brachetti is an Italian transformist, actor and theater director. Since the late seventies, he has brought the theatrical art of transformism back into vogue, in Italy and in part of Europe, almost disappeared since the death of Leopoldo Fregoli in 1936. He is an Italian artist, worldwidely famous and acclaimed. In many countries he is considered a living legend in the world of theater and visual performing art. He is also an attentive and passionate Director and artistic director, able to range from comic theater to musicals, from magic to variety shows. Brachetti is now the best quick-change artist in the world, with a “gallery” of over 350 characters , 100 of which interpreted in one evening. It is so fast that it has been included in the Guiness Book of Records, and its leadership still remains unbeaten. Arturo does not change color only the scope, but the whole character from shoes to hat, passing in the blink of an eye from Scarlett O’Hara to a mariachi, a diva of the Charleston to the Cossack on the bank of the Don.
