Gerry Bruno, pseudonym of Ettore Bruno, is an Italian actor and singer.
The career of Ettore Bruno (nicknamed "Gerry" for his resemblance to the American actor Jerry Lewis) is closely linked, as far as the beginnings are concerned, to the group of The Brutos, of which he was one of the founders and with which has achieved worldwide fame.
After more than ten years of career together, Gerry abandons the Brutos, as he has a very important professional opportunity: he is in fact called by Garinei and Giovannini to play the part of "Lo medicino Simone" in Alleluja good people, musical comedy with music by Domenico Modugno and Renato Rascel, and from there begins his career as a soloist, in which he will definitely privilege the aspect of acting over singing. Alleluja brava gente is a huge success with the public: represented in all the major Italian theaters (from the Sistina in Rome to the Lirico in Milan) it remains on the bill for two whole seasons, 1970-1971 and 1971-1972.
