Al Bano, pseudonym of Albano Carrisi, is an Italian singer-songwriter, television personality and actor.
On 26 July 1970 he married Romina Power, with whom he had four children: Ylenia (born 29 November 1970 and died in 1993 - presumed death), Yari Marco (1973), Cristèl (1985) and Romina Jr. Jolanda (1987 ). The eldest daughter Ylenia disappeared between December 31, 1993 and January 1, 1994 under mysterious circumstances while in New Orleans.
From 1974 Al Bano begins a permanent collaboration with his wife: they form their own record company, Libra, offer Dialogo, and in 1976 they participate in the Eurovision Song Contest with We'll live it all again (Noi lo rivivremo di nuovo) arriving seventh but reaching the second position in France. On this occasion, we forget some words towards the middle of the song in the live performance. In 1982 it was the turn of Felicità, which ranks second. In addition, Al Bano is among the choristers in the song Il ballo del qua qua by his wife Romina. In 1984 they won the Sanremo Festival with "Ci sarà". It is a period of great successes: "Libertà" (1987), "Nostalgia canaglia" and "Cara terra mia" reach the first places in the ranking. In 1991 they presented "Oggi sposi" at the Sanremo Festival.
