Erminio Macario

Erminio Macario known, simply as Macario, was a popular Italian actor and comedian in theater, cinema and television. Considered by critics as the inventor of Italian comedy cinema, in his long career he has worked on over fifty theatrical performances including variety theater, magazines, musical comedies and prose shows. He soon achieved success and launched numerous soubrettes. He lent his mask as well as to the cinema also on television, often adopting the Piedmontese for his characters and his specs.
