Elio Isola

Elio Isola, pseudonym of Amelio Isola (Genoa, 1927), is an Italian composer, conductor and arranger. He entered the history of Italian light music for writing the music of one of the best known songs of all time, La voce del silenzio, presented at the Sanremo 1968 Festival by Tony Del Monaco and Dionne Warwick, shot by Mina and made by Warwick , which also affects it in English as Silent Voices, a worldwide success (they also made a version of the Supremes). Currently he is in the repertoire among others by Massimo Ranieri, Franco Simone, Francesco Renga and Andrea Bocelli.
