Dino Piana is an Italian musician. He is a trombonist and one of the greatest exponents of Italian jazz.
Dino Piana takes his first steps as a trumpeter in the country band until this, with the outbreak of the Second World War, temporarily melts.
In 1959 he participated in the radio competition "the jazz cup" in which he immediately stands out as a soloist.
Subsequently, he joined the quintet "Basso-Valdambrini" and some radio and television orchestras.
He plays in various national and international festivals, taking part in numerous recordings in the complexes of great artists such as: Frank Rosolino, Chet Baker, Charlie Mingus, Kai Winding, Kenny Clarke etc. also playing in the big bands of Thad Jones, Mel Lewis and Bob Brookmeyer.
