Beatrice Cori, stage name of Beatrice Cagnoni, was an Italian television announcer and model, active for Rai from 1977 to 1999.
She began her career in Rai in the seventies. Before landing on television she had been an amateur accordionist, a teacher of physical education and had worked as an advertising model.
Tall, blonde, curvy, very photogenic, with a delicate and winking voice, with particular sex appeal, Beatrice Cori was considered by everyone, in the eighties and nineties, the vamp announcer par excellence, a role that had previously been attributed to Mariolina Cannuli.
Her announcement of a football match of the 1990 World Cup in Italy remained particularly famous, in which she appeared with a large and bursting décolleté, combined with a dress with showy transparencies, which cost her a fine and the departure from the video for some day. Even prior to this episode, she had been the subject of a recall by Rai for having adopted, in her announcements, particularly daring and / or eccentric mises (remember one in which Cori wore a dress with a large bow tie or another in which the announcer wore an unbuttoned vest with only a bra underneath), considered unsuitable for the institutional role attributed at the time to the announcers of Italian public TV.
