Vittorio Vighi (Bologna 22/3/1927 - Rome 25/1/2008) was born as a cartoonist: in fact, from an early age he expressed this attitude by drawing cartoons and stories by hand on the notebooks and school books of elementary and secondary school. It was true passion; in the late forties he started sending his cartoons to various newspapers. He was noticed and appreciated by the publisher (Vito De Bellis) and the editors of the 'Marc'Aurelio' and was invited to collaborate in the newspaper. Consequently, at the beginning of the fifties, having abandoned his law studies, he moved to Rome and worked for a long time as a satirical-humorous draftsman for the glorious magazines of the sector such as the 'Marc'Aurelio', where he met the masters of graphics as Scola, Attalo, Barbara, Artioli, Danilo, Castellano, Pipolo, and the 'Travaso', also collaborating with magazines such as' L'Europeo and 'Epoca'. For this activity in Bordighera in 1958 he won 'Il Dattero d'oro', International Humor Trophy.
In 1957 he married Marcella Longo (also a painter of remarkable and unconventional views of squares and streets of Rome) and in 1958 his son Massimiliano was born. After the season of humorous newspapers, from the late fifties to the mid-seventies he worked as a scriptwriter and screenwriter for cinema and then later as an author for radio and television.
