Larry Scott Anderson, 53, formerly of Danville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Longwood Manor in Los Angeles, California.
He was born Oct. 3, 1958 in Danville, the son of Robert A. and M. Joan Rothgeb Anderson. He is survived by his parents; two brothers, John A. Anderson and Wesley (Judy) Anderson and two nieces, Alison (Jake) Kreider and Kelli Anderson.
He attended Danville schools and Kemper Military School. He was a left-handed catcher for several years at Producer's Park Little League. At age 12, he became an umpire and umpired for Little League, women's and men's softball and Twilight League at Garfield Park.
He was a creative writer, working at Paramount Studio. He wrote the story "Louie and the Blind Girl" for the TV series "Taxi." He won an ADDY award for his writing and skills in advertising and he was a member of the Writers Guild of America.
