Henry Graham Greene (October 2, 1904 Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England, UK - April 3, 1991 Corseaux, Vaud, Switzerland) was a writer, playwright, screenwriter, author of travel books, secret agent and English literary critic.
His works explore ambivalent morality and the political questions of the modern world. Greene was a busy writer but he also experienced great popularity. Greene refused to be called a Catholic novelist rather than a novelist who was also a Catholic, but religious themes, especially Catholics, are at the root of many of his writings, especially the four novels La roccia di Brighton, Il nocciolo della questione, Fine di una storia e Il potere e la gloria.
