Eros Sciorilli was an Italian conductor, composer and pianist.
He has been the author of almost five hundred songs, and many of them have entered the history of Italian pop music: among them Non pensare a me (with whom he won the Sanremo Festival 1967), Sono una donna, non sono una santa and La riva bianca , la riva nera.
He moved to the Marche with his family, studied piano at the Gioachino Rossini Conservatory of Pesaro where he was a pupil of Amilcare Zanella; he began to deal with pop music, writing the first folk songs in dialect, and in 1928 he participated in the first edition of the Marche Song Festival, with the song Portu Sagnorgiu te fa 'ncantà (based on text by Rosita Giraldi).
He moved for some time to Argentina where he played the piano in theaters; returned to Italy, in 1932 he formed his own jazz complex, with which he performed throughout Europe, until 1938, the year in which he was hired as a musical collaborator and arranger by Fonit.
