Stefano Cerri was an Italian bassist and guitarist, jazz musician and session man in the recordings of numerous Italian singers.
The passion for rock (especially the Beatles) and progressive, led him, in 1976, to be among the founders of the group Chrysalis that accompanied Eugenio Finardi together with the drummer Mauro Spina and the keyboardist Ernesto Vitolo and to play with Rock & Roll Exhibition by Demetrio Stratos and Mauro Pagani.
His passion for jazz led him to abandon the session man activity and to set up, together with the drummer Walter Calloni and the Colombian percussionist Candelo Cabezas, the Latin jazz group Chandé. Subsequently, together with Calloni and Massimo Colombo, he founded Linea C, the best known Italian electric jazz trio. In the two years 1997-1999 he also plays with The Great Naco Orchestra, with which he also records an album.
