A Native of LaVerkin, Utah, Vern Monnett is a sought-after guitarist and pedal steel player. Vern has toured and recorded with Freddy Fender and the Texas Tornadoes for five years. Vern is featured on the Texas Tornadoes Grammy Nominated Album, 4 Aces, on the Warner Brothers Label. Vern also was a member of the Meisner, Swan & Rich Project. That band includes former Eagles and Poco founding member, Randy Meisner (“Take It to the Limit”), Memphis Legend, Billy Swan, and Charlie Rich Jr.. Vern's own rock band, Enertia, toured Europe, opening shows for Black Sabbath. The group also opened for Stepenwolf. In 1997 and 1998, Vern toured with Gary Allen. Gary's top ten hits included "Her Man” and "It Would Be You.” Vern also worked with the legendary Wynn Stewart and Cajun great Jo-El Sonnier. Vern brings the steel to life and is instrumental in keeping The Buck Fever Band true to its Bakersfield Roots.
