Born in Catania on February 28, 1927, he began his artistic career in 1948 by participating in highly successful magazines alongside Totò, Nino Taranto, Wanda Osiris, Massimo Dapporto, Walter Chiari and Ugo Tognazzi. In 1957 he entered the most prestigious combination of Italian musical theater, Garinei and Giovannini, and participated in shows such as: "A pair of wings", "Rinaldo in campo", "Rugantino", "Ciao Rudy".
In 1970 he made his debut as a choreographer and there have been many successful shows that bear his signature. For television he collaborated with directors of the caliber of Antonello Falqui, Vito Molinari, Romolo Siena and Enzo Trapani, while for the cinema he worked among others with Federico Fellini, Sergio Corbucci and the Taviani Brothers.
