Doug Sakmann started his acting career in NYC in 1998, training in improv under Amy Poehler and the Upright Citizens Brigade in NY at their first theater.
While acting was always a passion for Doug, he realized that he could do a lot more behind the camera and in 2002 started his own production company. Since then, Sakmann has become an accomplished director/producer with over 40 feature films under his belt as well as many projects including commercials, TV shows, music videos & short films. Doug has also become an accomplished and award winning SPFX artist.
Due to his notoriety from the various projects he has directed and created over the years, Sakmann has gained a reputation and following in the indie horror scene. On top of his Special FX and production work, Doug is regularly asked to perform cameos and supporting roles in the projects of his fans as they grow into filmmakers themselves.
