Giuliana Valci was an Italian singer and astrologer.
She was noticed by Gianni Ravera, who brought her to CBS: for it he recorded in 1967 the first 45 rpm containing Quando gli occhi sono buoni, signed by a twenty-four year old Lucio Battisti and Un inutile discorso, cover of The dangling conversation by Simon & Garfunkel.
The following year, always with the help of Ravera, she made her debut at the Sanremo Song Contest with Sera, written especially for her by Andrea Lo Vecchio and a young Roberto Vecchioni and also interpreted by Gigliola Cinquetti; the Festival that year was won by Canzone per te interpreted by Sergio Endrigo and Roberto Carlos, while Sera ranked in eighth place.
