Ascot Filmverleih or the Ascot Elite Entertainment Group, subsidiary of the film distributor Elite Film AG, which previously had its headquarters in Stuttgart under the name Ascot Elite Home Entertainment GmbH.
The Ascot Elite was founded in Switzerland in 1928 and can therefore demonstrate 80 years of experience in the supply of film copies and data carriers. In 2006, the Ascot Elite Filmverleih GmbH department was founded in Germany and thus acted as a full subsidiary of Ascot Elite, which, after the founding of several sister companies, merged to form the Ascot Elite Entertainment Group. Ascot Elite Filmverleih GmbH, which later changed its name to Ascot Elite Home Entertainment GmbH, is primarily responsible for the license acquisition, marketing and distribution of film rights in German-speaking countries. The German sister company was able to establish itself in the German film market and thus brought many well-known products to Germany. Therefore, it has been an important link between film production companies and the consumption of films in the German-speaking countries.
