Maria Elisabeth Straub

Maria Elisabeth Straub (born: Maria Elisabeth Franck) is a German writer. Maria Elisabeth Straub studied German language and literature and art history in Freiburg (Breisgau), Berlin, Hamburg and Braunschweig. After dropping out of studies, she became an employee of the magazine Merian. She has been a freelance writer since 1970. The author now lives in North Friesland. In 2003, Straub received the Agatha Christie Crime Award for one of her short stories.
