Jose Mascolo was a modern jazz pianist, composer, arranger and conductor. Always a pianist and arranger of Fred Bongusto, he realizes with him records, theatrical performances and tours all over the world.
Author of the music of screenplays, TV series and television varieties, collaborating with directors such as Alberto Lattuada, Sandro Bolchi, Salvatore Samperi and Dino Risi, from "Venga a prendere il caffè da noi" he composes and directs the soundtracks of twenty-one films, two of which "Oh, Serafina" and "La cicala" awarded with the Silver Ribbon.
He conducts the large orchestras of the N.B.C. London, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and the Athens Festival Orchestra.
Arranged for Petula Clark, Shirley Bassey, Liza Chan, Connie Francis, the Minstrels and collaborates with Don Costa, Jimmy Haskell and Bobby Hart.
He founded the Centro Teatro Attivo in Milan with Nicoletta Ramorino and subsequently, with Vittorio Bianco, the New Academy of Modern Music. In these schools he teaches personally and makes use of the collaboration of professionals among the most prestigious in the world of entertainment, one of all: Tullio De Piscopo. Then he creates, teaches and directs, together with Cristina Mascolo, the singing school "Parole & Musica", starting many students to the profession.
