American-International Television (AIP-TV)

American International Television (AITV) was an American television production and distribution company. AITV was formed in 1964 as the television division of American International Pictures. AITV served mainly as the TV distributor for movies either produced by AIP or which were acquired by the studio from foreign studios and dubbed into English for domestic distribution. AITV also served as the distributor for several TV series. AITV and parent company AIP were acquired by Filmways in 1979, and AITV was folded into Filmways Television in 1980.
