Frenetic Films AG is a Swiss film distributor based in Zurich. The management is held by Monika Weibel and Daniel Treichler. The company was founded in 1994 by Thomas Koerfer, Monika Weibel and Daniel Treichler, who each own a third today. Frenetic Films has had the distribution rights to all studio channel productions since 1999. In October 2001, Frenetic Films, together with seven other European distributors, took over 70 percent of the French world distributor Celluloid Dreams. In 2005, Frenetic Films was one of five independent distributors to found Indie Circle, a Paris-based company to jointly acquire rights and coordinate strategies in each market. As of October 1, 2009, Frenetic Films entered into a partnership with TBA Home Entertainment, a division of TBA AG in Glattbrugg, for Moviemento sales. In 2012 Frenetic Films took over the film distribution company Columbus Film.
