Oliver Simon founded K5 Film in 2001 backed by a housekeeping deal with the Bavaria Film Group.
Prior to K5 Film, Oliver co-founded freeX, the first ever German script development agency.
In 2006 Oliver partnered up with Daniel Baur, an experienced lawyer and financier. Together they formed K5 International, a sales agency, which ultimately became the K5 Media Group.
In 2002 Oliver became a member of the renowned network of European producers, Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (aCe), in 2006 a voting member of the prestigious German Film Academy and in 2013 a voting member of the European Film Academy.
