Roberto Michele Massimo Vecchioni, known as Roberto Vecchioni, is an Italian songwriter, lyricist, writer, poet and former teacher and academic.
He won the four most important prizes of Italian music: the Tenco Prize in 1983, the Festivalbar in 1992, the Sanremo Festival and the Mia Martini Prize of critics in 2011; he also won the 2013 Lunezia Antologia Prize. He is considered among the most important, influential and stylistically heterogeneous Italian songwriters: in his work, the intertwining of one's being with the most varied myths of history, literature or art, the latter borrowed, not so much for describe their deeds, rather as an expedient to represent a part of themselves
