Udo Schenk is a German actor, voice actor and radio drummer.
After studying acting at the Leipzig Theater Academy, Schenk made his debut in a fairytale production on a stage in Karl-Marx-Stadt and later moved to Berlin, where he was engaged at the Maxim Gorki Theater from 1975 to 1985. At the same time he was a guest at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. Schenk took on several leading roles in film productions for GDR television and also appeared in DEFA feature films.
In 1985, during a guest performance in the Federal Republic, Schenk set himself apart from the rest of the ensemble, leaving the GDR. He then started a new career in the Federal Republic. Theater engagements on theater stages in Cologne and Berlin followed. In the further course he took over numerous film and television roles, in which he mostly mimicked the slick villain or villains.
Udo Schenk lives in Berlin and is married to fellow actor Marina Krogull. From 1977 to 1979 he was married to actress Cornelia Lippert. They have a daughter in common.
