José Francisco Porras Hidalgo (born 8 November 1970) is a Costa Rican retired footballer who last played for Carmelita in Costa Rica.
Currently, he is the technical secretary at Saprissa.
Porras was a non-playing squad member at the 1989 FIFA World Youth Championship in Saudi Arabia.
He made his senior debut for Costa Rica in a June 2004 friendly match against Nicaragua and earned a total of 33 caps, scoring no goals. He represented his country in 7 FIFA World Cup qualification matches and played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup after being named in coach Alexandre Guimarães's squad. He also played at the 2005 and 2007 UNCAF Nations Cup, as well as at the 2005 and 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cups and the 2004 Copa América.
