John Gowans
John D. Gowans (born December 23, 1943 in USA) is an actor who appeared as the transporter assistant to Rand in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Gowans has also performed in several feature films, including the academy award winning You Light Up My Life (1977), the television movie Fantasies (1982), the drama Leap of Faith (1988), The Heroes of Desert Storm (1991), and the drama Dreamrider (1993).
