| Notes | DVD1 special features include:
* Deleted scenes (some of the extra scenes included in the director's cut)
* A short making-of featuring interviews with Pierce Brosnan, Jeff Fahey and Brett Leonard
* A storyboard-to-film sequence regarding the cyber-sex scene in the middle of the film
* A montage of the CGI sequences from the film
* The trailer (although the words "of Stephen King" in the first line are muted)
These all appeared on the 1997 US DVD release.
DVD2 has no special features.
Some scenes that were included in the Director's Cut have been omitted from the deleted scenes:
* The version of the discipline scene where Jobe is beat for hiding the monkey
* The version of the first petrol station scene where Ed appears and asks about what happened at the church, to which Jobe answers that Cyboman came to see him; Jake mocks Jobe for it
* The beginning of the scene where Dr. Angelo is drinking and recording his diary entry, specifically the first line ("Why did Rosco bond with that retarded man?")
* The beginning of the scene where Caroline walks out after announcing to Dr. Angelo that she is going out with her friends
* The scene after Jobe begins to suffer a migraine and becomes able read minds, after he abruptly leaves the restaurant, where he asks Caroline where Dr. Angelo is and reads her mind
* The extended version of the scene in the hotel lobby, where Dr. Angelo notices VSI men out to catch him and runs away
The original music track composed for the CGI montage on the US DVD is omitted as well - the clip is silent as a result.
All special features appear to be poorly transferred from NTSC sources.
DVD2 is taken from an inferior-quality NTSC transfer (cropped from the original aspect ratio into 16:9 and windowboxed, resulting in a 4:3 image), which uses the original "Beyond Cyberspace" title. |
