| Notes | The D50 is a stand alone keyboard, the D550 is the rack version.
An optional outboard controller was also available for all effects and eq parameters, this is the Roland PG1000. It's a useful addition which can help to unlock the D50/D550 as without it, access to the effects can only be done via the small inbuilt digital display.
The D50 still has a place in modern music due to it's fantastic characterful sound. Many hits over the years have utilised the sound of the D50, perhaps the most famous is Enya - Orinoco Flow.
