"Una" is a short story written by John Wyndham. The story has its origins in a short story titled "The Perfect Creature", first published in Tales of Wonder, June 1937. The author revised and extended this story and titled it "Perfect Creature" for publication in Fantasy and Science Fiction, January 1953. It was then reprinted as "Female of the Species" in Argosy, October 1953. The story was retitled "Una" and included in the collection Jizzle (1954).
